At the end of June 2024, Kevin Lemasney, who leads High Value Resident Engagement for Locate Jersey will be retiring. Dirk Danino-Forsyth has been temporarily seconded to the post, and will be in the role for the rest of the year.

Dirk has, for the last four years, has been the Director of Communications for the Government of Jersey. He moved to Jersey to work for the Government at the same time that his husband, Dror, took on the role of Hotel Manager at The Atlantic. They now live in the west of the island with their young family.

Dirk is formerly Head of Strategic Communications for International Security and Defence Projects at the UK Prime Minister’s and Cabinet Office Communications Team and has undertaken several roles across Whitehall. He has spent considerable time in Afghanistan and Ukraine supporting defence projects and has also advised the governments of Taiwan and Brazil on countering hybrid security threats.

Prior to joining the UK Civil Service, Dirk was based in Tel Aviv and worked in public affairs and technology. He has lobbied on behalf for UHNW individuals on social justice projects across the Balkans, the Holy See, the European Commission and on Capitol Hill. He has further advised several successful start-ups on their engagement and investments strategies and is still incredibly interested in emerging technologies.

Dirk was the Director of Institutional Development for the Californian-based University of the People and was responsible for major donor relations and government affairs.

Dirk is a chartered manager with the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) and is a Praxis Practitioner (programme management) with APMG International. Dirk attended UCL, The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst.

Dirk speaks English and Hebrew fluently, and Portuguese to a high level.

He will be undertaking CPD with the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments and the Institute for Economic Development.
